The pandemic hit in February 2020.  With very little data and nothing to compare COVID19 to, the CDC has worked tirelessly to learn more about this virus and share that information in real time.

What we know:

At the time of the writing, there was currently no vaccine for the virus.  The virus is spread from person-to-person between those who are in close contact with each other, through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person sneezes or talks.  These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people and then inhaled into the lungs.  Some recent studies have suggested that COVID19 may be spread by people are not showing symptoms.

What we can do to stop the spread:

• Wash hands often
• Use soap and water, and sanitizer that is at least 60% alcohol
• Avoid touching eyes, nose, mouth
• Wear a mask
• Stay home unless you must go out
• Socially distance – 6’ is a safe parameter
• Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, discard tissue and wash hands immediately
• Clean and disinfect EVERYTHING!  Surfaces, light switches, counter tops, computers, handles to doors, windows, etc.
